My name is Teneal Breitenstein and I have 6 children. The older ones are good swimmers but my 4 younger children absolutely need something just for my piece of mind, for my comfort so that I don’t have to worry about them when they´re swimming. During my vacation in South Africa my sister and I went to San Lucia and the wonderful beach to enjoy the sunshine and the warm Indian Ocean. I´m a good swimmer but I was caught by rip currents and pulled out into the open sea. My stepfather jumped into the waves to save us not aware of the danger and was trapped to. I thought we´ll never make it back to the shore. Totally exhausted and after minutes of pure fear we finally made it. When I saw PLOOTA the first time I thought: This is it. I am really excited about PLOOTA. It has a perfect fit and is really comfortable to wear. So all swimming styles are easy to swim – butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, crawl. You don’t even notice it`s on your neck, because it is very lightweight. I tested PLOOTA – what happens when it activates if you are underwater really long? It releases quite quickly, but not in a way that you think your head or ears are going to fly off. What impressed me the most was the stabilization of the head and that it easily carried my bodyweight even if I let all the air out of my lungs. So I can just say: PLOOTA helps people to survive!
